Dacia has sold its one millionth LPG vehicle. The company has been offering cars that run on both petrol and LPG since 2010.

Dacia's ECO-G100 powertrain delivers up to 170 Nm of torque starting at 2,000 rpm. Compared to its petrol counterpart, it's got 10 more horsepower and 10 more Newton meters of torque. It also uses 10% less fuel and produces 10% fewer CO2 emissions.

The ECO-G100 engine leaves a smaller carbon footprint and cuts fine particle emissions by 90%. Dacia has spent 14 years developing this powertrain. They've built it into their vehicles at the factory, using all of Renault Group's know-how.

The LPG tank sits where you'd normally find the spare wheel in other cars. This means it doesn't take up space in the petrol tank or boot.

Like other Dacia models, these LPG vehicles come with a 3-year or 100,000 km warranty.

The ECO-G100 powertrain isn't just good for the environment - it's also easy on the wallet. It's affordable to buy and cheap to run. In France, LPG costs up to 40% less than unleaded 95 petrol. That's a saving of about €40 per tank fill.

There are tax benefits too. Depending on where you live, you might face lower environmental penalties, get incentives to switch, or even be totally or partly exempt from registration taxes.

Dacia's dual-fuel system lets drivers use either petrol or LPG. Each fuel tank holds about 50 litres, though this varies by model. Drivers can switch between fuels manually, or the car will automatically switch to petrol when the LPG tank runs dry.
