Dacia has introduced a new version of the Bigster crossover. The "Mild Hybrid G 140" variant features a 48-volt hybrid system and a dual-fuel engine system powered by gasoline and liquefied gas (LPG).

Under the hood of the Dacia Bigster Mild Hybrid G 140 is a 1.2-liter three-cylinder turbo engine, adapted to work with two types of fuel. The engine is assisted during acceleration by a small electric motor powered by a 0.84 kWh lithium-ion battery.

The crossover has a standard gasoline tank with a capacity of 50 liters and a gas cylinder hidden under the trunk floor, which holds a similar volume of LPG. If all tanks are fully filled, the crossover can travel from refueling to refueling up to 1450 km. A switch on the dashboard allows for quick and smooth transitions between fuel types.

The new version of the Bigster is equipped with a six-speed manual gearbox. Dacia states the average fuel consumption is 5.8 liters (gasoline) and 7.1 liters (LPG). The maximum speed is 180 km/h. The drive is exclusively to the front wheels. When running on liquefied gas, the Bigster Mild Hybrid G 140 emits an average of 10% less CO2 than a comparable non-hybrid gasoline engine.

Interestingly, the Bigster Mildhybrid G 140 is offered at the same price as the gasoline Bigster Mildhybrid 140. The reduction in CO2 emissions is reflected in more favorable taxation for European Union countries.

In Germany, Dacia asks for a base version called "Essential" starting at 23,990 euros. The equipment includes manual air conditioning, a rearview camera, a 7-inch driver display, and a Media Display multimedia system with a 10-inch touchscreen.

The better-equipped Bigster "Expression" with dual-zone automatic climate control and a 40/20/40 split rear seat costs from 25,390 euros. The top versions, "Journey" and "Extreme," cost 27,290 euros and 27,490 euros respectively.
