Both models became part of Stellantis' new industrial plan by 2030 - FastLane 2030.
The most unusual project is the Fiat Quattrolino. It is a compact electric microvan that will become a more practical version of the Topolino.
Judging by the published teaser, Fiat was inspired by the original Fiat 600 Multipla of the 1950s - a tiny microvan with an almost vertical nose and an extremely compact body.
Four seats instead of two
Unlike the Topolino, the Quattrolino is expected to receive a four-seat interior and more interior space.
Fiat has not yet disclosed the technical specifications, but if the model indeed uses the Topolino platform, it may feature a 5.5 kWh battery and an electric motor with a power of 8 hp. However, due to its larger size, the production version may well receive a more powerful powertrain.
The next Pandina will become a cheap electric vehicle
A concept of the future successor to the Fiat Pandina was also shown during the presentation.
The new city car will be manufactured from 2028 at the Pomigliano d'Arco factory in Italy. It is known that the model will be fully electric and is expected to cost around €15,000.
Fiat is betting on the simplest possible construction and restrained design to keep the price low. Although the concept itself looks quite expressive - especially due to the unusual lighting, which literally protrudes above the hood surface.
Stellantis promises cheap EVs
All this fits well into Stellantis' overall strategy. The company is increasingly promoting affordable city electric vehicles for Europe - especially against the backdrop of Chinese competition and profitability issues with compact models.
Here, the Quattrolino seems almost the most characteristic example: small, quirky, and clearly not created to impress with its specifications, but to cheaply and compactly transport people around the city.
