  Ford engineers discover way to reduce energy consumption for EVs

  Ford engineers have discovered that heating interior surfaces in electric vehicles (EVs) could reduce energy consumption for cabin heating by 13%, compared to using a standard aircon. This method of heating could also extend an EV’s range by up to 5% for a typical charge, according to research conducted as part of the European Commission’s Connected Electric Vehicle Optimised for Life, Value, Efficiency and Range project.

  Toyota to Begin Electric Vehicle Production in Kentucky Factory by 2025

  Electric Vehicles Linked to Improved Public Health, Finds New Study

  A recent study conducted by the Keck School of Medicine of USC in California has shown that increased adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) is linked to a reduction in asthma-related emergency room visits and improved air quality, resulting in better public health. For every 20 additional zero-emission vehicles per 1,000 people, there was a 3.2% reduction in asthma-related emergency room visits.
