  After a Model Y killed two people driving "uncontrollably" through Chinese streets, Tesla offers to assist local authorities

  Tesla announced that it will be assisting Chinese police with their investigation of a severe accident that occurred involving one of its Model Y crossovers. According to local reports, on November 5th in the southern province of Guangdong, two people lost their lives and three were injured when the driver allegedly lost control of the electric vehicle.

  Tesla is opening its charging connector to other companies, so they can adopt it

  Tesla has decided to share the design for the EV connector so that any other company can use it instead of the CCS Combo 1/ SAE J1772 Combo or the already outgoing CHAdeMO. They named it the North American Charging Standard (NACS).

  Tesla earns 8 times more profit than Toyota per car

  Though outselling Tesla 7 to 1, Toyota reported lower net profits this past quarter. In the three months of July-September, Tesla's net profit was $3.29 billion while Toyota only made $3.15 billion. Consequently, Tesla earned eight times as much profit per vehicle as Toyota.
