Volkswagen in talks with Chinese EV startup Leapmotor to apply its technology to Jetta brand

Shortly after Volkswagen announced that it had acquired a stake in Xpeng to jointly develop electric vehicles in China, the German automaker is said to have entered into talks with Chinese electric vehicle startup Zhejiang Leapmotor Technology to collaborate on Jetta brand.
